Good Evening fellow Visa Journey comrades!

I hope all is well in your worlds!

I have a couple questions...been looking for some examples, but have not found an answer yet.

My husbands CR-1 processing was complete at the NVC on Aug. 13th....

My first question: From your experiences, about how long before they send to the consulate?

Second question: Once it is at the consulate, about how long generally before he receives his interview letter?

I realize these are all just going to be based on your own experiences....no guarantees, but he may need to leave to Tanger for 4 days, due to work, and we do not want him to miss anything.

Thank you for your help!!!!

Good luck to each and every one of you!

Yvette ^_^

Call NVC, they will tell you your interview date or if the file has been forwarded to the consulate.

Since your case has been completed for a week now, it might be already in transit to consulate.

Go to "immigration timeline" on top of this page, choose CR1/IR1 and sort according to country, you will be able to see roughly how long it takes for the consulate to mail out packet after they receive from NVC.

My first question: From your experiences, about how long before they send to the consulate?

CR1? how come your profile says beneficiary of a K3? you may want to change that just so to avoid confusion if you have any other future queries. well if you're on CR1 path, expect your papers to stay at NVC 2-4weeks (although the voice prompt say 6-8weeks). This is standard for IV (in which CR1/IR1 is under its category).

Second question: Once it is at the consulate, about how long generally before he receives his interview letter?

this depends on how reliable the mailing system is in the beneficiary's country. some mailing systems are slow, thereby adding to the agonizing wait. but you too will receive his interview packet, so no need to worry. you can scan the whole thing and email it to your hubby just in case his copy doesnt arrive on time.
