GLORY BE TO GOD you can remove my name!!

BLESS GOD ALMIGHTY even though we had TWO MAJOR descreptancies we were APPROVED!!!! GOD IS SO AWESOME!!! Husband told interviewer wrong internet site where we met and wrong date of meeting the first time but we were able to explain and the woman understood!!! NOT only that I showed her I have already purchased the plane tickets and she said, "We advise not to purchase tickets until visa is in hand." I said, "Yes I understand, but if you look there on his ticket I got a ticket for $140, I HAD to buy it!!" She said, "$140??? Tell me how to do that!" I told her I used airline miles but had to purchase 3 weeks in advance. She asked if I could change it, I said "I can but it wIll cost." She said we don't usually give out visas until Tuesday afternoon and the ticket is for Tuesday morning. I said, "yes I know we bought it being positive we would receive the visa." She said, "Ok I'll put it through now and you will have it Monday" GLORY BE TO GOD ALMIGHTY WE ARE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats WhidbeyGirl!!!

Everyone else, hang in there, our time will come...every day is a day closer!

Also, I found out about why we were given false information that my fiance was approved. Actually, the day I was told he was approved is the day that his file got transferred from the IV to the NIV unit at the embassy, because all K-1 visas are printed in the NIV unit (even though it is an immigrant visa). They are going to do some process or something with the DS-157 I beleive and then hopefully issue the visa. Problem is, the emailed DS-157 still isn't in their system yet! So we are going to send one out by post tomorrow!

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

Hi Joe in response to your questions: Unfortunatly I dont have the answers all I can do is tell you that a couple of weeks before it was returned I emailed the Embassy for an update maybe I made them mad they sent me a response that was addressed to someone else I wrote them back and told them I got the wrong reply they said neverless my husband was still on AP but they did say that if they didnt intend on issuing the visa he would not be going through AP. Then I called DOS she said the case was in the final stage and next week if I called they would have good news for me. When I called back they said mmmmmmmmmm you need to call your senator. The next day I called back and was told the case was being sent back to USCIS. And no the Embassy never let us know they were doing this. My husband did get a call from the embassy he was at work and he could not take the call. But they had already sent the case back they just wanted to know if he wanted to pick up some photos or if he wanted to pay the fed ex bill. The thing I really hate is that we have no clue what is going on. I noticed alot of people were given reasons. My letter from the Embassy only stated that they didn't have to give a reason and that USCIS would let us know. If a case gets sent back it will take a min of 6 months to get a letter from the embassy of the result of the reveiw. I havent heard anything since the email I got on June 29 . I hope no one else has to endure this. Sorry I could give you better answers

Thanks very much- that is some good info. I don't know how you could have kept it there at the embassy. If after they complete their AP and decide they do not want to issue a visa with the evidence they got from the AP, what can one do? I've read posts that say to keep it there and not let it be sent back to U.S. How the hell can you do that if they don't want to issue you a visa- they have all the power, I believe....

You are exactly right they hold all the power I personally think that Ukraine issues so many visas to women that when a man come along they pull all the punches on him. I only know of one case from Ukraine that the case was returned and my husband is the only person I know that was put on AP. I understand it is because he is Muslim but what about all the marriage brokers in Ukraine there is so many it is a joke. And I forgot to mention that I did call my Senator's office and they tried for 1 week for the Embassy to respond to them but they never did. The senators office was great they stayed in touch with me everyday for a week until I heard from the Embassy. The Ukraine Embassy will only respond to one person the person or the senator. LOL my husband went to the Embassy the other week to get a copy of his passport notarized the response he got was we have 4 copiers they are all broken. My husband said I have a copy with me if you can just notorize it. They did finally notarize it. The Embassy is a 10 hour train ride from where he lives. I couldnt believe they were so incompetent.

WhidbeyGirl

Congratulations your perservernce paid off mine just made them mad Im glad it worked form you most of us are not that lucky

VISA IN HAND!!!!!!!!!!

They nearly didn't give it us, but there was NO WAY in H E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS I was going to leave the embassy without it.

First they told us they didn't have it, I said yes you do we were told it would be ready today, because our plane leaves tomorrow morning

then they said we didn't have an appointment, I said oh yes we do, see this little green piece of paper it says 28 September at 1400 that is TODAY right now this is our appointment,

then they told me to leave and call the consulars office, I said I'm standing here right now I will speak to someone here and now I am not calling

then they said you need to come back tomorrow, I said NO our appoint is today and our plane leaves tomorrow morning

then they said the woman who puts the packet together wasn't there, I said we were told it would be ready today at 1400 we are leaving tomorrow morning we need it right now.

then they said why can't you come back tomorrow, I said, OUR PLANE LEAVES AT 0700AM IN THE MORNING (do you think I could have been any clearer???) we cannot come back tomorrow we must have it TODAY!

With each reason they gave us I stood ABSOLUTELY firm and told I was NOT leaving without the visa. My husband said a couple times, maybe we should be patient and just come back tomorrow, I told him NO, they gave us an appointment for today at this time and I am NOT leaving. God gave me the boldness to stand my ground and refuse to leave. Finally they allowed us into the embassy and within 2 minutes we had the visa in our hands! Not only that the cover page on the envelope stated that the package was complete on 24 Sept at 4:30pm. I can't believe they tried to lie to me and tell me it wasn't ready!!!! I think I was a bit scary to the woman at the window on the outside of the embassy, she kept fumbling and calling different people LOL!!!!

Good morning everyone

I had my interview on March 26,2009 the interview went good but the CO gave me my passport back and she says she needs to do some AR .

every time i call DOS or send emails to the embassy asked about my status they said ''the case is pending AP''

on July 30,2009 i got an email from the embassy asked me to send them my passport .

they got my passport on Aug 2,2009.

since that day every time i email them to ask my status they say '' the case is pending CO review''

the embassy called me and they told me to go to them on Sept 27,2009 for a second interview .

i had a second interview on Sept 27,2009 it was very long interview about 40 minutes with 2 CO a man and a woman .after they done i asked them if we are approve or if there any new news for us ? they said no good news no bad news .and they need to talk to my fiancee .

I told them that she is at her mom's and they asked me if i know her phone number.i gave it to them .they didn't call her so far.

Does anyone know whats going on ?any experience with a similar situation ??

Is there anything we can do ?

my fiancee sent 2 emails one to the embassy and one to the Consul General and her mom sent 2 emails to the embassy and to the Consul General as well .and my fiancee contacted her senator .

any thought ?

Thank you so much .

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

You know - the whole AP thing is getting on my nerves today. Usually I'm ok, patient, etc etc etc but it'll be 1 year since the 1st interview in just a couple of weeks and I think that's hitting me. I'm going to the consulate yet again on Thursday to see if they will tell me anything. I know I'm in a very lucky situation to be able to spend an extended amount of time with my SO - to those of you waiting apart, my heart goes out to you!

Hot Guy - it sounds like you did fine on the second interview and I'm sure your fiancee will confirm everything. You'd hope the COs would have enough common sense to know that the average person can not go jetting around the world frequently.

WhidbeyGirl - congrats on the visa.

To everyone else waiting - here's hoping for some more approvals this week!!!

After reading stories here, I feel that country locals who are employed by the embassies are messing with us maybe waiting for a bribe. I don't see any other reason not to give visa/passport when it's ready. It's disturbing!
