now all the flights are booked, no seat sad.gif

been more than 2 n Half year since first applied for her K1. than had to marry in pak in feb 08. so K1 became invalid as per ACS Islamabad. Had to start I130 process again from U.S. than my son was born in nov 2008 and Thanks to Allah ta'ala azzawajal I got his U.S. citizenship and passport through C.R.B. from Karachi consulate...

having strong evidence like my son's U.S. passport i dont know why they put my wife's visa under AP.

Oh Allah ! help me and all of us in visa's journey and have patience in meantime. Aameen.

We finally got an email response from the US Embassy in London....12 days after we emailed them, and all they say is:

Your case is still under review by a consular officer. Unfortunately, there is no set period of time that this review will take. Times quoted should be used only as a guide.

I guess the fact that the case is under review by a consular officer means that he is not in any security checks and hopefully it will be soon...?

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

Hi, I called the DOS to ask about my administrative processing status. She told me that she can see some actions but still pending. When I asked her what are these actions? She said that she does not know but hopefully it will not take long time.

Some actions? Is it a good sign, or just always like this with others? Is it mean that they are doing something? I do not know. I am just curious and impatient.

I would say "some action" is better than "no action" I was told that my case was updated on August 3rd only to find out later that since we had requested teh change of address, that was entered into their system.. nothing after that so I guess the fact that they are touching it is a good sign.

October 13, 2009 SSN and green card in mail DONE WITH USCIS until husband applies for his citizenship!!

The journey of 4 years, 8 months, and 3 weeks has ended!!!

They told me that there had been 'some action' about 3 months before it finished.. in that case they had asked the embassy for additional documents on my fiance (officially an 'update' to the case). But our case was longer than usual. I hope yours is much faster, inshallah!

Hi everyone! Didnt get time to post everything happend so quickly. My husband got his visa on August 7. his interview date was april 12. we called the embassy and were told that our case is done and we picked up the visa the next day. it was funny cuz i was gone to dubai at my cuzins wedding and i was with my husband and 3 days before my flight his call came. but Good luck to all itll be over someday.

can anyone tell me when do we get the greencard in the mail?? how long it usually takes.
