Good morning guys

I have been under AP for more than 3 months and still no news ( I had my interview on March,26,2009) .

everytime we call DOS or Email the embassy they say ''your case is pending administrative process'' no updates .

Is there anything we can do about it ? my fiancee contacted her congressman and he told her the same thing and he ashed her to contact her after 3 months :cry:

How long does it take now ? i thought it will be just 2,3 months but i think i was wrong .

have a nice blessed day all .

Good morning guys

I get the same thing as you! We had our interview on April 29th. I also just recently contacted my congressman and his office sent an inquiry to the DOS and just got back the standard reply that it is "still in administrative processing." I figured it was futile, but I felt like I had to do something, instaed of sitting around waiting...gogo just posted that they contacted the Deputy Director of the USCIS for their case- I figured I would try that at the 3 month mark- seems like I read somewhere that 3 months is what one should wait before contacting DOS or whoever? (I call DOS twice a week as it is) Hell, i don't know what to think anymore!!!

12/25/2009 - Still stuck in AP- almost 8 MONTHS and counting... :(

12/28/2009 - Embassy finally called my gal for another "interview"

1/14/2010 - VISA APPROVED at the second interview- took about 8 1/2 months of AP

1/21/2010 - Visa delivered by courier- BUT, she opened sealed envelope that was for U.S. Immigration at POE.

Now embassy in Bogota wants us to do the medicals all over again.... nightmare continues.....

2/22/2010 - She went back to Bogota to get labs and medical re-done. Then back to embassy where they finally

re-issued the visa. Is valid until July 13th

7/3/2010 - She made it to the U.S. finally!!! I filed on November 11th 2008 and went thru 8 1/2 months of AP

12/16/2010 - Sent in packet by Fed Ex to Chicago

1/7/2011 - Notified by email from USCIS packet was received

1/25/2011 - Notified by email we are receiving an RFE

2/4/2011 - Sent translated birth cert in (RFE)

2/9/2011 - Biometrics done

I contacted the Director of DOS and it takes him a month or more to contact me back . he did not say anything new . he says that he contacted the embassy in Cairo and there is nothing wrong . it takes 2,4,6,9 months or even years......

CO told us that case has been approved and kept the passport. Anyone with similar experience?

shame on you.. you only contacted him ONCE? hehe.. I do it almost every day.. I still don't have my wife here with me, and I was going do it more too.. but she got the call-in letter, so I cut them some slack.. she's going in today for the "official decision".. she has to go in 3 days.. 1st day to get the appointment slip (for tomorrow), and today to get the "official decision" and pink slip hopefully.. then another day to get the "brown medical package".. how come they can't do everything in 1 day? :angry:

How do you know you r in AP for 2-3 mons??? one cannot estimate the AP Time, ISL and DOS provide you w/an avg AP but these averages do not apply to ISL cases.

sorry to tell you this, but there is no definate average of AP wait. The trend in this forum, which is the only place doing some sore of tracking to measure is 5-8 months. Could be as quick as 4 weeks and as long as a year.

please add us to this tracker as well.

Interview held on July 16th and placed on 2-3 months of AP.

Passport returned and green slip given.

well thats what the CO told us that they need 2-3 months for office work but since they kept the passport I was assuming probably it's true.. I guess you are right, we never know how long it takes!
