My husband was put on AP on August 9th. On Septermber 19th the embassy told us that name check was complete and we should get passport back soon. Yesterday the embassy called my husband that there was a problem and additional Administrative ptocessing was needed. So we are back on AP again. I hope we get the visa soon.

RealAI,

You must be very hurt and upset by this turn of events. I am sorry your husband is back in AP. I hope it doesn't last long. Pakistan is famous for it's long AP's but other embassies usually don't take as long.

I called DOS today and my husband is still in AP. The embassy is not returning my emails and it's impossible to get through by phone. This just adds to the heartbreak of being in AP. It would make the wait easier if we knew that they would issue the visa when it was all over but we don't know if we've been approved or not. Next week it will be 2 years sense we filed the original I-130 petition and we still don't have the visa. It's very depressing. All any of us can do is pray and wait.

yes, it is very painful. I feel so helpless. It has been 19 months since we applied. I hope AP ends for all of us soon and we can all unite with our loved ones.

Well you guys have all freaked me out now thanks :(

Those are exceptional cases... My husband and I are just at 4 months this coming week... I think we see more posts about those bcos they are more frustrated and want answers and post more about it and who can blame them... I know im a bit freaked out too LOL who can help it? Our lives hanging in the balance of a CO that meets the beneficiary for less than an hour and decides our fate.. it's scary but as long as there is enough proof and its all genuine then eventually the visa will be issued.

Im sure you will be the avg 4=6 months tops.. :) Now breathe ;)

Armani Khan,

Your case has not been in AP at the embassy for all this time. Your petition was denied after your second interview and sent back to USCIS to decide if it should be reaffirmed or not.

There is a huge difference between your case and the other people here.

I thought you were at the beginning again (after your reaffirmation) with USCIS getting docs to submit with NVC when they move it there? or already at NVC waiting on what to do and medical etc for interview?
