Why they put us in AP? If they put us in than they have to give us some time frame too ... What says

AP has no time frame unfortunately... it can last as little as a few days to weeks, months and even for a small number of ppl a year or two... It all depends on the checks they run and if the name is hit and then they have to research that to see if it matches the person filing for immigration. Sometimes its common names, common fields, it varies as to why but in the end you just have to focus and stay strong and eventually you will overcome it.

There are a few denials after ap but that is only because something bad comes up on that individual.

filed petition in Nov 2010 to Abu Dhabi embassy and was put on Administrative processing, after numerous emails they called for 2nd interview in May 2011 and since then under Additional administrative processing.... been 9 months under AP

Interview date aug. 31..given a yellow form and told to bring back some paperwork. Brought it back and they didnt even look at the paperwork and handed a yellow 221g and said they would have to look through the file( which I guess meant not at that point but on their time). AP since Sept 8, 2011.

don't worry... just takes a few weeks maybe 5 or 6 to review paperwork.. and if your in one of the MENA countries you may end up with a longer ap for 2-6 months... if your in another country it may not be so long after the review is done to get the visa... but ultimately...nobody knows until its over

My fiancée was interviewedon Aug 24 and everything was fine. At the end the interviewing officer told my fiancéeher application is on pending until they verify some information from heroriginal country and gave her phone # to call. I call DOS today (after 3 weeks)and they told me the embassy put the visa application on pending and is under AdministrativeReview. No idea how long the embassy will take and also no information whatthey are looking for too.

I wish Good luck for myselfand all others too.

Do couples that go under AP usually get approved? Also, is the AP usually shorter if the country has a uscis office there?

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! We're still in AP... talked to Sarah again today.. WHY OH WHY is it always her? LOL anyway she did tell me something I asked of her... I asked if AP began at the first interview or if it started all over again when they reviewed and did name checks and she did say it starts at first interview with us... as they reviewed our case and its basically pending ap approval... they are working on it she said she sees what they are doing but she can't share the details..and that AP average time is 6 months... urgh... anyway... just wanted to let you guys know what i found out.. good luck to the rest of you and us still in AP!!!!

GOOD NEWS. My fiancée received an email from the embassy stating that the embassy reached a decision on the AP and issue a visa for printing. She has been in the AP for the last 28 days. Thank God, the first chapter is over and second chapter will start soon.

Yesterday my interview went well and after long questions the CO gave me two sheets one is green administrative processing and other is blue which administrative processing box mark and the CO is very polite and told me that it will take minimum one month and maximum 6 months and also he kept my passport and also he told me that your file is complete and nothing wrong.........

Welcome to AP... Ours was complete but they wanted a document showing my child support/household by a clear letter... so we had to resubmit that but after july 25 they startred the name checks so we sit and wait we will pray for you and pls pray for us too... my bday is monday and our anniversary is a week away... this is the most difficult part of the whole process to be so close you can see the end but it's not moving towards u..
