today get call from American Express Visa in hand its take 60 working days also officer told her do not contact before 3 month which is today with weekend and working days thanks god

Good luck and God's blessings to you!!

We are still waiting. It's going to be a month next week. But the hard part for me is that I really want to go see him since I haven't seen him in almost a year. We don't want to waste the money doing that when he could get out of AP any day. I think I could bear more if there was an actual end date. Oh well I waited 6months for the petition to be approved so guess I can wait for this too.

i called DOS today and i was told that visa was issued today. i don't know i might have to call them tomorrow to be 100% sure. but how long does it take for embassy to contact us for passport after the DOS clears AP??

Muskan4eva, I know that feeling of wanting to call DOS again and just to be sure that indeed the visas had been issued indeed! My hubby called them thrice after!

Hoow long does it take for embassy to contact you? NEVER! in my own case that is. Visa was issued on the 3rd. It was our call to DOS on the 12th that made us know of that dvlpmt. And then a trip to the embassy b4 i was told to pick it uo at the pick up centre that they had delivered it to them since the 4th!! No mail nor call from the embassy.

2011-02-09: Got a reply to my incenssant e-mails scolding me for writing, and asking me to refrain from writing more letters, and stating officially that am on AP!!!

2011-03-15: Picked up Visas. Oh My God!

2011-03-21: POE, Atlanta Georgia. Find it hard to believe this is truly happening. Thank you God.

NOW IN THE US.

2011-03-28: Received our Social Security Cards in the Mail.

2011-04-08: Received Green Cards.

We will be at one month next week as well! I just called DOS this morning to check on our status and was told our case was still pending AP at the Embassy. I told her I was confused as the Embassy replied to our email this week and said, "According to our records, your K-1 visa application is pending for a security clearance with the State Department." The DOS Visa officer said, "no, I don't see anything about that, unless the Embassy sent it yesterday, it may not be here yet." She went on to say that it shows that it is in review with a CO. Well, we have been thinking my fiance was undergoing name checks in DC, but now we are a little bit confused as to where the AP is actually pending. I called DOS a 2nd time just to get clarification...the next person told me that all they can see is that our case is pending AP...and that is all they have access to see in the system. She said they took away DOS Visa officer's ability to look at specific information about one year ago. So guess we just continue to wait...and hope someone is doing what the need to be doing!

thanx guys and it is confirmed for sure that AP is over for my husband because i called DOS friday again and the guy said it was issued/stamped/mailed on the 24th. so lets how long does it take for my husband to get a call from embassy for passport......

2010-05-11: NVC acknowledges the receipt of AOS on 05/05

2010-05-13: operator told me that AOS sent to supervisor for review....

2010-05-14: AVR changes to received the checklist letter response on 5/13

2010-05-23: RFE for original birth cert. (i did sent original).......arghhh

2010-05-24: BC under review by some department

2010-06-02: sent in original BC again and previous BC is still under review

2010-06-10: NVC recognizes BC into their system

2010-06-15: BC under review

2010-06-21: SIF!!!!!omggggg soo happy 57 days in NVC process

2010-06-28: interview on Aug. 19, 8am.

2010-08-19: interview went fine but he's put into AP :(

2011-01-09: almost 5 months in AP "still pending"

2011-02-06: 5 and half months and still counting......when is this torture going to end....

yep thanx and visajourney has helped me alot throughout this whole visa process. it was very tough to go through AP for 7 months, but thanx for all the fellows here for encouraging comments and support. wish u all the best and may GOD brings happiness and joy in ur life.

Congrats Muskaan4eva !! My wife had her interview this morning, I went with her - we were the first ones there. The CO kept her passport and said she should get it back within 2 weeks. That mean no AP.. I am very happy for all of us who are thru the VJ process. I guess next time we see each other here will be for the Citizenship process !
