The consulate sent us a letter on the 8th saying the case had been reviewed on Aug 31 and that there were docs needed... they had lost some docs and the medical had expired.. She took the docs in today and they gave her a pink slip took the passport and said pick up your visa on the 30thb we are all done with your case.

Have not called DoS today...

An update to our case:

Embassy called fiancee on yesterday and was told to get a new police certificate and to redo his medical as they were about to expire. They also asked for 2009 tax return for me and for him to come to the embassy to retake the oath. I have no idea why he has to retake the oath as he took it before he gave his interview last year. Who knows? Maybe the CO forgot to notate it down? We're hoping this is good news.

Note, if it has been more than one year since the interview all the paperwork is expired including the application for the visa therefore a new application and oath must be done. When my hubby went for the third time he had to redo everything and that was it, no questions, no problems.

18 months of AP. Could you believe guys? it's crazy.

We couldn't receive any update rather than "still pending". My wife contacted her representative office a couple of months ago, and they found out through the DOS that my case is done there and it has been in the US Consulate in Jerusalem for few months. We have been trying to contact them since but the same answer "still pending", even the representative office got the same answers.

Anyway, we are now applying for the CR-1, and forget the K-3 visa. We feel that we did a mistake by applying for the

K-3 visa 3 years ago thinking it is more faster than CR-1. In a couple of weeks I will send my documents to the NVC and wait for the interview if things goes well.

At least we are living together.

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to see if I could get some advice here. My fiance and I have been in AR for 78 days now. I know this is not too long, comparativly. Im just wondering is there anyone other then our congressmen that we can get involved at this point to hurry things along. My congressmen has been really good about emailing them, and asking for a status, but she says there is not much more that she can do. Is there anyone else that can help us?

Thanks for any advice

My husband's interview was just a week after yours in Jordan. I was there and the interview was awful... separated us and interviewed us and all and we are in AP now too.

I can't get any help! My senator's office emailed the embassy and they told him 5 months or less.

I know it's not much help for you, but just know you aren't alone!

Thanks for the reply, I know were not alone. I'm afraid its not a comforting thought though. I don't wish anyone else be in this situation too. I know there are plenty who have waited so much longer then us too:(. Sorry to hear that your senator wasn't much help. I hope you hear some good news soon. I was just hoping maybe there was someone else I could get involved. I just don't want to leave any stone unturned.

Let me know, if you find there is something more you can do! Im sorry they have made you wait so long. I get sick at the idea of waiting for 8 months, let alone years !! Good luck to you. Hopefully soon, there will be some good news for you :)

AP is making me crazy and I keep thinking there should be SOMEONE who can help us!

I think I read on here once that you can contact your governor. I haven't tried it yet, but I am considering it.

Has anyone else tried this?

Mohsin's middle name is Mohammed. That could keep us in AP forever! :bonk:

But I actually know a guy whose name was the same as a suspected terrorist (his wife googled it) and he had less than 2 months AP last year. God only knows what they do with these things!

I want to go visit again, but I don't know when to plan. Right now we think if it's still in AP in Feb I will go back if I get a tax refund.

Hey everyone, its been a while since I have been on. Its so sad to see more people going through AP. Well, for everyone who I know and is still in AP like MQ I feel for you. I have been in AP for 16 months and honestly its frustrating me so much. I also contacted everyone I possibly could and honestly no one can help. I just had my first baby 2 weeks ago and unfortunately, my husband was not here. It seems like no one at the Jerusalem embassy cares. Well, if there is anyone who can figure out a solution to get out of this blackhole called AP, I'm all ears. Besides that, this site is great for support. Hang in there everyone, even though it sucks and is hard :(
