Congrats KevBev and Amit-n-Melody!!

So my update... just called DOS and spoke to a new guy. (Chris?). He said the file isn't even showing that my fiance's visa was ever issued!!!! The first time I called DOS months ago they said they could see that :-( now he says it shows it's just "processing". And he said that it's possible that they removed the information about it being issued to avoid confusion. Well, now I'm even more confused... ugh :-( He also said they cannot see any dates and have no idea when the file was last updated. And he told me to call back Tuesday LOL. I think he's a new employee, he actually sounded like he thinks it's weird that it just shows "processing" and that that is something the embassy is probably actively trying to update...LOL. I wish! But nice of him, anyway :-)

One week from today will be exactly 7 months of administrative processing....

2009/06/19 - 1st NOA 1 (I-129F)

2009/10/07 - NOA 2

2010/01/11 - interview; result - approved

2010/01/18 - received passport with visa in the mail

2010/02/05 - embassy calls and asked to return visa for a "correction"

2010/02/09 - fiance returns passport with visa to embassy

2010/03/09 - embassy tells us we are in "administrative review"

2010/09/07 - fiance receives passport back with canceled visa and letter; our petition has been returned to USCIS

2010/11/08 - 2nd NOA 1 (I-129F ROUND 2)

2011/04/19 - service request response - 6 months additional extensive background checks

2011/08/22 - 2nd NOA 2

2011/10/04 - interview

2011/10/20 - visa received

2011/11/04 - POE

2011/11/25 - legal marriage

2012/07/21 - wedding with family and friends!!

The embassy called my husband today and he did not hear the phone and missed the call. Then they called my sister in law (they live in the sasme house/his sister) and told her they had been trying to call her for 3 days and for her to send her passport so she can get the visa. ugh should i kick my husbands butt now or latter? i hope they call him tommarow.

OMG... don't kick him... just ask him nicely... It is guy thing... phone need to be picked up by someone in the house...

I think your chances are good that they will call him tomorrow or very very soon!! So, I am thinking ... congratulations! You've almost made it through :-) Plenty of time to kick his butt once he gets here lol

Chris is not new sometimes he is helpful sometimes not When Im not sure of the response I call back after a few hours and see what they say trust me it will vary person to person minute to minute

Well guys one of my friends here on VJ sent me some links says that the embassy has no rights to keep your case for more than 4 months .And it says its illegal if the embassy keep it for more than that .I'm not for certian but anyways here are the links if you want to read them .
