I know what you mean about planning, once I received the Aust police cert and sent it and my passport off we started planning, John went and organised our marriage licence and a wedding date at the courthouse, I packed everything ready for shipping, started saying goodbye to people, booked a train ticket to London, a hotel in London and a flight home. We are planning a big wedding in Sept so John even booked a time to go see the reception location.

But of course it wasn't to be. I feel worse than I think I would have if they hadn't said Congratulations pending the supply of your Australian Police certificate you are approved. Welcome to America. I do as requested send it in (there was NOT EVEN a blemish on my certificate) and then they put me into AP.

They should never of got our hopes cause all it has done is to crush us.

Yes, if the proof you submitted help validate the realtionship. Even if they didn't request additional information your country put many people in AP. Just consider this part of the proccess and put your faith in your higher power and your realtionship.

May your AP be expidited.

Hello,

Is anyone from Mumbai Consulate got 221(g) Pending Letter and then received K-1 visa ?

If so, I like to hear from you what kind of Pending letter was for and how long it took from receiving pending letter to actually getting the Visa.

MY SITUATION:

My fiancee just received 221(g) letter asking for Additional Proof of Relationship on Jan 21 2009. Consulate didn't specify what specif proof it needed.

Anyways, we sent the all necessary required proof on Jan 27 2009. However, we have not heard back from Consulate.

We sent an email inquiry re: Case Status. And Consulate replied stating...

"Your case is in Administrative Reivew and it unable to tell how long it will take to process the case, it will try it best to process it quickly"

DO I HAVE ANY CHANCE OF GETTING VISA AFTER RECEIVING 221(G) LETTER ??

Please help.........................

Thanks.

CONGRATULATIONS

You were one of the first people to join the AP tracker list so it gives us all hope and encouragement to see your name colored in It makes each month a little easier when you see and long AP come to an end. I have been in AP for 8 months but now I try and focus that most cases end around a year so I am trying to think I only have 4 or 5 more to go.

updated tracker

Guys! i have a good news

FBI & USCIS JOINT PLAN TO ELIMINATE THE BACKLOG IS NOT A PROGRAMME ONLY FOR NATURLIZATION CASES.

ITS ALSO FOR VISA APLICANTS.

I have proof.

Personnel Dedicated to NNCP

The FBI recently increased name check personnel from 75 employees to 125 employees. This 65% increase was taken from within existing Records Management Division resources and designed to address the projected increase in name check requests since September 11. We also reorganized the unit, dividing it into two units, one for Personnel Security name checks and one for Homeland Security name checks. The new homeland security unit will allow us to better focus on sensitive name check programs such as visa requests. To clear older cases, the FBI brought in additional personnel from the field on a temporary duty (TDY) basis and authorized substantial overtime work. The number of cases in excess of 120 days has been all but eliminated. The FBI is continuing these efforts by bringing in additional support employees to collect file information from the field. The FBI's Counterterrorism Division is temporarily assigning additional Agents to conduct SAO reviews. Visa Condor and Visa Mantis have been given the highest priority in processing name check requests.

However, the FBI recognizes that the explosion in numbers of requests necessitates development of even more efficient processes in order to sustain the current pace of processing name check requests. The FBI is in the process of developing interim improvements to minimize manual submissions by all agencies and increase efficiency within the name check unit. The FBI has developed high-level functional requirements for a new name check application compatible with the new FBI information systems in development. These new information systems, over time, will eliminate dependence on the retrieval of paper files. The development of this new name check application is now undergoing review within the FBI's Investment Management Process.

Decentralized Recordkeeping
