You can file for advisory opinon through their website. But just a response to the advisory opinion takes 2-3 months. : ( It would be nice to know who to file through for inquiries. : )

Today is wife birthday, this would be her third birthday away and alone from me. I really was hoping to celebrate this year together after our waiver approval but God knows what the embassy is putting us through and many others like me.

Can you or someone please help me find the link to advisory opinion I have not been able to find it.

Does filing advisory opinion have negative impact on your case? Is there any other actions or person we can contact to help us beside Congressman or Senator. Also lets say that they approve the case And we are out of AP before the completion of advisory opinion will they then wait for advisory opinion to complete before issuing visa or the visa can be issued without waiting for the outcome of advisory opinion.

Thanks to all.

Hi,

I'm not sure what your case is like. I don't see an timeline. When we did an advisory opinion it was for the j-1 waiver. I am not sure if advisory opinion can be done in this situation. Here is the link to advisory opinion for j-1 ( http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/info/info_1288.html ). I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your other questions. Can you maybe put up a timeline, please? I am so sorry to hear it's been 3 years that you've been away from your wife. That is very tough!!
