Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

A child of a citizen is a citizen once the birth is registered at an embassy/consulate. *(File a CRBA or Consular Report of Birth Abroad). This child would only need a US passport.

A child of a PR must needs an I-130 filed and must wait for a visa to become available.

The difference in processing time is measured in years!

Who knows then. Cuz i think she was told she has to file for a I-130. But i mean how long before she has to make her POE? like is there a time limit before the visa expires?

Star, that is so exciting! Congratulations to you!

Today, we crossed the threshold - we've been waiting for 5 months. Yesterday I called the embassy immigration chief (bet she's sorry she gave me her number once) as it's been three weeks since she inquired about our case with the USA. She said that there's been no change but that she'd call again to 'see what's up' and she actually apologized to me for the long wait! I have no response from her today, but hope that she made a connection to someone. Once DOS comes on line I'll make my usual Friday morning phone call.

It's been a slow visa week so far...here's hoping there's some movement today!

Thanks! Wow! That is great that you have her number. It seems like they are diligently working on getting it done, and our concerned about it. Maybe you will get a nice visa specialist at DOS and will give you a bit more info then the rest. That has been my experience with them. Its going to come when you least expect it :).

By the way we got the visa in the courier today.:dance::dance:

Hey guys...I've stayed away this past week as I've been so down and didn't want to moan. However, just called DOS for my weekly update and as usual I got someone who refused to give basic information like the last date-stamp. It's been 74 days and I really can't stand it. AP is horrible, and I don't wish it on anyone, but why oh why am I even in AP???
