McCain suffers from severe post traumatic stress syndrome with bouts of fierce anger. While that's fine for a senator, I am not sure that's the ideal for a president.

Perhaps not, but at least we know about it ahead of time. I'm sure we've elected many presidents on both sides of the aisle who've had numerous conditions we never knew about.

A good example is FDR. The vast majority of the country had no clue he was in a wheelchair and while that didn't affect his mental state, it just goes to show how ignorant the American public can be about the leaders we elect.

Correct, people know little and care less about their elected representatives. However, I am not sure if a physical disability is such a problem while anger control problems could be. It's not exactly a good diplomatic gesture to start throwing things and swearing. Even the affable Bush didn't do that.

Talking of not knowing much about the man, someone came out with a very bizarre theory that Bush would go out with a bang, literally and hit Iran with a nuke. Has anyone else heard this extremely random rumour/theory?

Yes I had heard this about Bush before... I certainly hope he doesn't try something like that but you never know. Perhaps not a nuke but more 'tactical' air strikes probably.

I find that highly unlikely. First of all, it would take more than one nuclear ICBM to do a whole lot of damage to Iran and if we literally blasted the country to glass, we'd have the rest of the world so pissed off at us, Wall Street might grind to a halt. Business is far more important to the U.S. than whatever we decide to do with Iran and such actions would hurt our dollar value even more. Since the Bush family -- as well as many Republicans -- are heavily infested in business ventures, I'd say launching nukes at Iran would be a poor decision at this time. Even if the world's reaction didn't matter at all, the nuclear fallout would harm other nations surrounding Iran, such as Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Afghanistan, all of which are important to us for the time being.

I wouldn't freak out if McCain won either- I'd be disappointed but not in any way surprised. More so I'd probably be one of those telling people things like "I told you so" at some point of a McCain Presidency.

Just wanted to say I was thinking the same thing.

I find it really funny how one side acts like it's going to be horrendous if McCain wins but only wonderful if Obama wins. Everyone is so biased with their opinions but their opinions seem to be more important. For instance, I said I wouldn't freak out if Obama won and I tried to be even positive about it even though I wouldn't be happy. But maviwaro had to add in that he'd be telling people "told you so" as if those words would never needed to be said by the opposite side if Obama won. And all you hear is more of the same from those supporting Obama.
