Hi Michele,

Just wanted to say good luck to you. I don't think him having a student visa will help expedite matters though, unfortunately. My husband lived in the US for 5 years, had a 10 year green card, etc. and our process was the same length as those applying for the first time.

And girl, go get a passport so you can visit your man :)

Can't afford the ticket and no way in the world am I going on a 13+ hour flight with a 4 month old baby XD He'll do the visiting out here for now. But yeah I'll eventually have to get one. X3

Passports aren't cheap but they can take a long time to get. It might be wise to get one sooner then later in case you need it, assuming you don't already have one. There is nothing that says you have to use it. :)
