Is it a requirement to enclose evidence of bona fides of the marriage with the DS-230? If this evidence is not included, would it result in an RFE, or does NVC consider this to be the Consulate's territory?

No proof is required with DS-230. It is an application for immigrant visa and permanent residency.

Hi CHD, it is not required to include any bona fide evidence with 230, it will be reviewed at the embassy / consulate though.

So they will not send RFE for that. Generally it's a good idea to provide all evidence, but not above and beyond what they are asking for, it might confuse them, and damage their fragile minds :-)

Be careful to include all the required docs though, and do not leave blank on dates/ addresses lines on 230, this will get rfe.
