I am trying to get some feedback on where people stay when they go to Negril. This will be my 2nd trip to Jamaica and my first trip to Negril. The first trip was in June 08 and I was in Ocho Rios in a resort. This time I want to go somewhere quiet but I still want resonable access to the beach and I don't want to spend a lot of money. I tried to book through AAA at Legends and Samsara and was told that those hotels do not have good feedback. I have looked into xtabi, footeprints, and our past time villas has anyone had any experience with these hotels? My man concern is safety and cleanliness pretty much everything else I can deal with. Thanks

Do you want AI, Non AI, Price range,......?

Check this forum for the Jamaica survival guide - Bunch of Negril hotels listed there -

Non AI is fine with me I was looking for something around $80 per night. I looked at the other post about LDR survival I was just wondering which hotels people have actually stayed at and liked since I keep getting conflicting stories.

These have all been stayed at by different members -

On the beach:

You could get a studio at Beach Club Condos - http://www.negrill.com/

Country Country - http://countryjamaica.com/

Kuyaba - (beautiful, great food!) http://www.kuyaba.com/

Rondel Village: http://www.rondelvillage.com/

Charela Inn: http://www.charela.com/

Hidden Paradise: http://www.hidden-paradise.com/

On the cliffs:

Blue Cave Castle - http://www.bluecavecastle.com/

Samsara - http://www.negrilhotels.com/

My personal choice is Negril Beach Club Condos - Also Yellowbird, which is rustic and basic, but the staff are great. Jah Bs is another place that is basic but great, so is Donaldson's Inn.
