here we go-

im just looking at how much longer im going to be waiting...

the nvc said they got the i-864 on may 15.

the automated system doesnt say that they got the $380 yet. maybe it might update on monday the 23rd.

how long for them to finish the i-864?

how long for them to review the ds 230? (assuming i send it out asap)

then how long to complete the case,?

fwd it to the embassy?

and when do u get to know the interview date? i read somehwere here that the NVC sets up the date..

problem is, our post is madras india ----> where im sure it will be a long wait time...

its just me the kid and a babysitter.....

Here is my timeline at NVC.

NVC CR 1 and K3 Timeline

03/17/2005 CR-1 Case assigned number

04/15/2005 Received I-864 Bill

04/18/2005 Paid I-864 Bill $70.00

04/30/2005 Husband receives DS-3023

05/02/2005 Husband returns signed froms to NH

05/28/2005 I-864 Forms & IV Bill received.

05/31/2005 I-864 forms to NVC

05/31/2005 IV payment to St Louis, MO. $380.00

06/02/2005 USPS confirmation for I-864 NVC

06/02/2005 USPS confirmation IV payment MO.

06/20/2005 DS-230 came forwarded to husband.

06/22/2005 I 129-F approved and will go to NVC

06/29/2005 DS-230 arrived at NVC from Pakistan

06/30/2005 Both cases are awaiting approval.

07/18/2005 CASE COMPLETED CR1 (124 days @ NVC) and forwarded to Isalamabad embassy on 07/27/05 and arrived 08/01/05.

07/20/2005 CASE COMPLETED on K3/I 129-F (32 days @ NVC) and will forward to embassy. Sent to Islamabad on 07/20/05 and received 07/25/05. Embassy cancels the K3 without interview or paperwork since CR1 was at the embassy one week later.

Once our case showed June 2nd it was completed roughly 45 days later and then off to the embassy. I know our interview was scheduled via the embassy and not NVC. It should not be too much longer before your done with NVC and on your way to India. Not sure of how long you will have to wait once it goes to India before they send you out your packet. Good luck.

General rule of thumb.....Applicants from countries required by NVC to submit both DS-230 parts I & II, the NVC schedules the interview. Applicants from countries required by NVC to only submit DS-230 part I, the US Embassy/Consulate in the applicants country will schedule the interview.

I believe I sent in both parts for Philippines. Does that mean our interview date will not be listed on that PDF file list of interview dates? If NVC sets the interview date, do I have to call them to learn the date (before receiving the interview letter)?
