Why the difference?

Hello, I know someone who has the same I-130 date as me(Feb. 21) and he has already been approved for that petition on May 8. I've seen people here with the date in March who has been approved. A couple of people with the date of March 1 have had their petition approved on their I-129. How do they process, I thought that they went by the processing dates?

they usually do, but sometimes if your petition got put on someone's desk who then left for vacation or leave, the processing/approval dates will be different.

Same thing happened to ours a couple of years ago, everyone around us was being approved and ours got lost somewhere. My husband called his state senator's and got their immigration liase to help them "find" it. I will add here that tho he called both senators, only the Rep. helped, despite that at the time the Dem. was running for VP and could have used the switch vote eejit.

Just thought I'd mention this because it doesn't seem to happen often, but in some cases it happens that only the senator of who's party you are registered to will help you.

They should. But it depends on the Service Center. Like Vermont is veyrfast, they approve the I130s very fast. Mine was sent over to California and it took 5 months to be approved. I saw people get approved b4 us, but that was because they were approved in vermont

Processing begins on a queue basis established by the Receipt Date for the Receipt Notice.

When processing ends can depend on many things that can and do vary, sometimes significantly, from case to case.

well recieved noa1 on feb 10th 2006... still waiting ...havent heard anything yet. Our service center was Vermont. It was supposed to be faster than any other. There are people who got later noa1 dates than mine but recieved their noa2 a couple of weeks ago. I dont know what to do.

what does this" touched" means anyway?

well as a summary .....no emails... no mails ...no phones calls recieved...only have noa1 date of feb10th 2006 and still waiting.

I think they lost my file lol

otherwise if anything was missing or bad, they would have asked for rfe or something already.

any opinion on this is appriciated and also any advice.

Hello everyone, I recieved the Noa2 today in the mail today. I registered at the Uscis website and I have been checking it daily but it hasn't even been updated at all. Whats the purpose of the registering with them if they aren't going to update our profiles. I guess I have to wait for the I129F to get approve. Good Lucky to everyone with earlier dates, I hope your approval is soon.

Hi,

I felt the same way. I called the National Customer Service and begged them to help. I'm using Vermont and I swear they lost my file. But, I see a number of people who are using Vermont that are in the same situation. For some reason, they are not working on our cases at the usuall pace.

Anyway...The NCS told me to send them a letter and ask them if they lost my file. I think that is just rediculous.

This is so important to all of us. It's hard not to get consumed, but everything will work out fine. It always does.

My K-3 petition (I-129-F) was approved on April 13th and hasn't been received by NVC yet...

Yes, I call them daily. At first was told it takes 2-4 weeks to receive, once that time lapse, they are now saying it can take up to 90 days for them to receive. I even called the NBC to no avail. So we are just going to focus on CR1/IR1
