Hello,

We're starting to feel desperate...It's been almost 4 weeks and our case is still not in NVC! When we call to NVC they say to wait 90 days! Is there anything we could do? And is the problem in NVC or can it be possible that it is still somewhere in California Service Center? Anything we could do about this? It is awful to think if we have to wait 90 days....

Only thing I can tell you is you gotta be patient. Sometimes it takes a week, sometimes it takes a month. If NVC told you you gotta wait 90 days, that pretty much means it could take up to that long, and if it takes longer then you gotta start worrying.

Waiting is the worst part, but you'll get through it, just gotta stay positive.

I got my NOA2 on June 5th and the NVC did not receive the case until yesterday....once its past 4 weeks you can have the CSC research the case and try to figure out what happened.

12/26/08 Package Received at Chicago Lock-Box

Or.....you could be a little more proactive. Get your Congressman's office or Senator's office to inquire to the CSC. That will usually get some action. Why would you pay any attention to what the NVC says about how long it might take for them to receive the file? They have no idea where the file is in the process until they receive it. Right now, it's the CSC that you need to be pounding on.
