has anybody tried to buy tickets from expedia.com? i was browsing their sites and i found that their prices are cheaper than PAL itself. i haven't been interviewed but I want to have idea on where to buy cheap plane tickets and how much it normally costs.

I have a few times and it's been fine. I could not purchase a one way for my SO to come to the US though. Had to call the airline directly in that case to make sure we sat together.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Try www.vayama.com and www.bt-store.com. You might find cheaper tickets in these sites.

And Good Luck on your Interview!!!

thanks for the replies. I'm just wondering how come the taxes for expedia.com fare and vayama.com fares are diff? for expedia it's only $209 tax + $588 airfare total of $797 while for vayama the tax is $222.9 + $588 airfare total of $810.90. is it because the price in vayama.com includes the philippine travel tax of Php1620?....by the way, i realized i'm so crazy to start scouting for ticket prices while i'm not yet done with my interview. :D

Thats' why you have to look around. Sometimes, it's cheaper on vayama. Next day it's cheaper in Expedia, next day sa bt-store naman. I know how you feel. We looked around too when my fiancee visited me earlier this year and she was able to purchase round-trip tickets for just around US$850 including taxes at vayama.com and travelling via Cathay Pacific.

Regarding the travel tax, am not sure if that's included, although if I remember correctly my fiancee didn't have to pay since she is exempt being considered a balikbayan with a stay of less than one (1) year here in the Philippines.

KOREK!!! NAPAKALAKING TSEK!

Minsan nga, sa morning mahal lahat ticket prices for a specific date, then when you check again in the afternoon, it would be cheaper... check also if the prices you are comparing have exact the same flight details: date, airlines, lay-overs, total flight time.

additional to expedia, vayama & bt,... economytravel.com and traveldealsandtours.com
