Hello all,

It has been much to long since I visited let alone post a message. Shame on me.

Well Wee and I went for our second interview ( The first was bad.) and she was approved for her green card. We went on Friday Aug 15 2008 at 9 am and I was ready for anything.

One valuable lessen learned here was------------ Ya don't need a lawyer, they are just a waste of good money. Another thing... SAVE everything from day one. Ring receipts, receipts for everything, put spouse on all utility bills, junk mail in spouse name. Photos, take LOTS of photos with you 2 together. And don't be afraid when you go, they are really great and understanding. We went through the Tampa Florida office. I was so nervous the first interview that it was really messed up. I took the month in between interviews to gather up everything and brainstorm what else can I bring. The interviewer was overwhelmed when I walked in with 3 big bags of stuff. I was ready. I was told many false things from lawyers and other people. Most saying my wife wont get a green card because she was here on a tourist visa. Well I am living proof that it can be done.

Need help? Just email me and I would love to assist you. Tomorrow I will do a time line for all to see. Give yourself a full year for the process.and I do mean a full year.

Congratulations! Thanks for sharing.

Usually we don't hear of first interviews that don't go so well. But it's all fine now! Congrats!

Congrats!! and as what you stated, I too truly believe you dont need lawyers for petitions here, they are just on the same waiting game as you are... I especially hate it when I hear stories about people who hire lawyers and they get RFE on your cases (petitions/applications). You do though need VJ for emotional/guidance support ...
