Taking the x-ray to the interview

Can someone tell me if the x-ray needs to be taken to the interview in Rio de Janeiro? I've been telling my fiance to take it, but the doctor told him today it wasn't necessary.

He has his interview in the morning.

This isn't specific knowledge of RDJ, but my general opinion about the Xrays. I think the x-ray is taken and read by the doctor in order to fill out your medical form. After that's done, there is no use for the x-ray again by the doctor or the US Embassy. So they could throw it away or offer it to you to take to America with you. The interviewer (or the POE official) aren't medically trained and would not look at your x-ray. I haven't studied AOS yet, but maybe that x-ray will still be valid to use somewhere in that process to keep you from doing another, so it would be a good thing for you to take to America. Or perhaps you could give it to your new doctor. Maybe if you would get an illness 2 years from now, looking at that old x-ray as a benchmark would help them assess your new illness.

We brought the X-ray to the interview but they did not ask for or look at it - so I would say that it is not necessary. Only the sealed envelope from the doctor is required.
