Hi, I need help. Me and my 11-year old son had our initial interview on May 18th, 2006 at the Miami office. At the end of the interview she didn't tell me if we were approved or not, I thought that I was going to get approved at the end of the interview. She just said that if she decides to approve us she had to see if there is an immigrat visa available for us and then if there was availability we would get it on the mail. I am very confused, now what?

Here is my background: My step-mother filed an I-130 application for me back in 2001 that was approved on 2002, I had to wait until September 2005 for my priority date to become current to file our AOS. I submitted all the paperwork required. I live in Miami-Florida since 2000, first I came as a student, then in 2002 I got an H1B visa, that was renewed last year until 2008, I've been working for this employer since then, I declare my taxes every year. I haven't been a single day out of status. I travel 3 times a year to Venezuela, never had a problem coming in and out, I have never had any problems with the police.

Does anybody had an experience like mine, or knows somebody that had the same experience with the initial interview? Please help.

I had a trip planned to Venezuela next month, I asked her if I could still travel with my Advance Parole, and she said yes, but I am not so sure about that. Should I still travel with my advance parole? I traveled with it earlier this year and didn't have any trouble coming back.

Thank you!
