Green Card without Interview?

My wife came here on a K-1 visa from Canada last fall. We got married and filed for the Adjustment of Status. Her welcome letter and permanent residency card came today. When I saw the letter from USCIS I assumed it was a notification for an interview. We're a little stunned, but happy almost to the point of disbelief. Is this unusual?

Congrats by the way!! No, its not unusual to get your Green card without an interview. The majority of people with K1 visas actually get a "transferred case" to CSC instead of a interview at your local USCIS office. Its good you were part of the majority. Most of the time too though, you get a notice from CRIS (USCIS/email) that your AOS case was approved and transferred.
