Been calling NVC, can't get through

Good day everyone!

My fiance' been calling NVC to check the status of our papers, it keeps telling him "the system is busy, please call after 6pm until midnight" or " due to high amount of calls, you will be forwarded to an automated system". should he press 1 after this? Is this the usual answer from NVC? Sorry for my ignorance Been 11 days now after our NOA2, most probably he will be receiving the letter. It is just me who's being makulit (insistent).

Need your idea please.

Try calling as soon as they open in the morning, you might have better luck then.

their phone system is awful. All you can do is keep trying. and never choose the automated system. you always want to talk to an operator. They don't seem to have a lot of available phone lines, or a useful hold system.

If you filed for a K visa you will have to talk with an operator to find the status. K visas are not at the NVC long enough to be entered into the Automated System.

Thank you Ryan and Kevin. Right, it won't even keep my fiance' on hold and their suggestion to visit their website to check is of no help. Maybe we're just not lucky yet to get through but Michael will keep trying while at work tonight. Can wait for the case number but knowing where our papers are is what's most important.

Just a few minutes after posting, Michael texted me, at last got the MNL case #, he's been on phone the whole day trying to contact NVC It was sent to USEM August 18.

Just a few minutes after posting, Michael texted me, at last got the MNL case #, he's been on phone the whole day trying to contact NVC It was sent to USEM August 18.

Tulog pa kasi kids and the whole household so may time pa ako

ito naman next step para masatisfy pagka OC mo: DHL TRACKING!!!! (im sure pareho tayo OC )...

1. open this site (click mo lang yan): DHL:Track by reference

2. since Aug 18 kamo ipinadala sa embassy, ito ilagay mo as reference (copy paste mo nalang): EXP 18 AUG 2008A

3. tapos click mo "track button".. it should take you to track result summary page. (try playing with earlier dates para you could get the hang of it eg. EXP 11 AUG 2008A... that is a date last week so meron na talagang updates yan)

4. then look for package/shipment going to US embassy Manila, Philippines, most likely kasama doon yong sa inyo.... once you see the status change to "shilpment delivered".. give it at least 2 days before calling for interview schedule, para naman may time sila to encode all your data. After that you can pay DV na... it is not wise to pay DV kung wala pa yong papers nyo sa embassy.

I tried your date sa DHL tracking, wala pang info kasi august 18 palang naman ngaun sa kanila, try tracking tomorrow.

Malapit na yan sis, next week may interview date ka na basta di lang magkaproblema uli yong system ng call center. Mabilis na lahat from here on.
