Hi everyone, How are you?

I just completed my biometric on the 15th of August. At the office, I was told that my EAD should arrive 30-40days from biometric. However, on this website, my estimate arrival date is mid to the end of Oct.

I applied AOS, and EAD on the 19th of July and I got NOA1 on the 28th of July. It took only 17 days for me to take biometric from noa 1. And the guy who works there and deals with paper work said my EAD will come after one month.

I already started job hunting, but I just cannot apply and have an interview yet because of EAD card.

I wonder how long it took for you guys to get EAD after biometric. I know that EAD is not gonna be transferred to CSC office.

7/19 AOS package has been mailed

7/21 AOS package was arrived in Chicogo.

7/28 NOA1 for AOS, EAD, AP

8/15 Biometric done

What he's telling you is an estimate. My husband had his bio on 4/10 and we got the email approval on 5/14 and the card was in the mail on 5/16. However, there are still several people from March and even before me in Feb. that have not received their EAD approvals or cards yet.

We've also found out that just because you have your EAD and SSN, doesn't mean that employers will hire you. I guess it depends on the type of work you're looking for. We've been told by several employers to check back for openings when my husband gets his green card. I've also heard that if you're looking for work in the retail or fast food industries, they only care about the SSN and EAD cards. Good luck

Just take a look on VJ timelines :) Look at filing date of EAD approvals. Sometimes it went slow, sometimes sped up. And it's up to which pile your case belongs to on the adjudicator's desk B) . I create April AOS filers list every week, and my analyze tells that some filers were approved at a time when their application seem to belong to the same pile. (filing dates are close)

I think 30 days is the luckiest case... there are people from April AOS filers still waiting for EAD. Biometrics timing doesn't really relate EAD approval date.

I was kinda lucky because I got EAD when I requested expedited AP. While the adjudicator had to touch my AP file, he/she found my EAD file.

Good luck!
