Pls find the answers bellow:

1) It is almost February 2006 now. My passport expires in July 2006. How long in advance would you suggest to submit documentation. Can I do it now? – yes you can do it now. I suggest 3 months in advance.

2)Am I allowed to leave US and come back if my passport has 6 month until the expiration date?- that is right.

3)If yes, can I leave the country and travel with old passport which has not expired yet if I already applied for a new one at your agency and am waiting for it to come.- yes, you can maintain the „old“ passport and travel with it till you get a new one.

4)When I apply -it says I can present a notarized copy of the passport instead of originals-what pages do I have to notarize? or only the last page?- just last page with your picture.

5) In regards to JAV status proving documents: your website says I can provide 2 notarized documents such as driver’s license and social security card. But these two do not prove my residence. Will that still work? I do not have green card but I have a stamp in a passport stated I’m a legal resident. It’s only a temporary evidence valid until June 2006 until green card is mailed.- Pls submit the notarized copy of driver‘s license, social security and the page of a passport with the stamp that states your status.

6)Where can I get a special form for passport issue. Your website said they are in the embassy. Is it available on-line or by fax?- forms available only at the Embassy. Non downloadable, non faxable.

7)When and how do I pay $43. Do I include a money order with documents, do I pay later, ....?- money order should be sent with the rest of the documents. Bear in mind- if you provide the copies of your US ID cards, they will have to be legalized. It means + 13 USD. Total is 56 USD.

8)Do I send all documents by the address on your website? Mc Arthur Boulevard, Suite 200. What department and attention whom if yes.- Check the address again, it has more details. No department to indicate.

9)Will a new passport be sent to me to my home address. What’s the maximum time it can take if not two months?- yes, if you will provide your correct & latest address. Time depends upon the completeness of your papers, quality of pictures, signature+ box match, and declaration of your residency. All should be done correctly, no info lacking. Usually it takes 2 months if everything is ok.
