Hi all.

So i found out today what the problem was with affidavit of support forms. There are a number of errors. I asked the guy from the NVC if i needed to wait to recieve the bar coded sheet. He said that i dont have to, it just might take them longer to enter it into the system.

Has anyone sent it back without the barcode? If so how long did it take for them to enter it into the system?

Does the barcode thing in James shortcut work for RFE's?

If it takes them a bit longer for them to put your info in their system because the paperwork you sent did not arrive with the cover sheet, you might as well wait the extra week or two it might take them to generate it. That makes more sense to me.

Also, I think I saw a template for an RFE coversheet in the National Visa Forum but I couldn't find it. Maybe you'll have better luck.

True, however, it could be 2-6 weeks before the letter is even sent, because they mass mail. Then we have to make changes, send it back and then wait for them to enter it into the system.

I have found the cover sheet and have generated a bar code. Has anyone had a bad experience with this?

I took a risk and here's what I did - I simply sent the RFE response and re-printed the coversheet from the AOS online payment. Below the barcode I wrote very clearly "Checklist Letter Response" and that was that. Express mailed, and it was in the system the day after it arrived. In my case, no problem, but I suppose there's always a risk that someone will get confused...

I was in a hurry, at work, and had no graphics manipulation programs on my computer at work to do the barcode thing, so that's what I did. But if you've already created a cover sheet, even better.

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter

That sounds good. I have created the barcode, i have'nt used any special graphics manipulation program, so i hope i've done it right now. I'm just changing things on the cover sheet. Trying to get it all perfect. I could scream.

So i have sent the attachment to my husband, and i am so nervous and driving myself crazy doubting myself that i've done the whole bar code thing worng.

I guess we just have to wait and see.

I'm so scared. I'm trying to get everything done in time so that we can have it complete for my K3 interview on the 5th September. I feel that there is a problem everytime i think it's all done. I'm now not going to get happy until i am in America.

When i say attachment i mean the cover sheet in James short cuts for RFE's.
