I believe only the US embassy in Rio issues the visa. Hopefully someone else will clarify...

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter

That is correct. There is only one US Embassy in any country. The rest are Consulates.

Hi all, I am not familiar with TNT, but with my wife, it took four days to deliver her visa. I am here in Brazil waiting for my stepdaught's visa and I hope it will be posted today. Is it possible that it can be delivered the next business day in Niteroi, just 13 km from Rio de Janeiro? Someone told me that it is a minimum of two days, but we have a plane ticket on Saturday. The consulate has approved her visa and it was supposedly being sent yesterday but this was not done.

My Stepdaughter's information is not in the timeline.

Hey! We are waiting here in Rio as well for the delivery of the Visa (approved today 2008-Nov-18). You posted 5 days ago. Did you receive it? How many days? We probably will need to pay to change plane tickets, and wondering if Leo will be in the US for Thanksgiving..

Well, I called TNT to expedite it- 35 more reais. Otherwise it can take up to three days. We received it the same night because I called them to expedite. We are in the US now.

What day did you get your ticket for? It will take several business days for the visa to be released from the consulate, and two or three days for TNT to deliver it normally.

You should be ok coming home for Thanksgiving however.
