Hello Board I applied for a K1 in 06/07 and then we parted ways in 11/07 and I cancelled that K1 app. I then re-applied for another K1 in 06/08 for a girl that I met in 12/07. Well I just got back from her country and things are different I don't feel the same and dont want to process the K1 further. I think I am going to take it easy for awhile and if I do meet the "right one".... I probably would have to file a K3 huh? Or woud I be able to do another K1 in the future?

Not necessarily. Why not just wait until the time comes, if it comes, and deal with any immigration issues at that time. In the meantime, if you just want to read about these options, do so to your heart's content in the IMBRA forum here.

Probably a good idea. If one is not in such a big damned hurry to get married, one is much less likely to make a poor choice. Waiting a few years before looking, and then dating someone a few years before popping the question is probably not a bad idea.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

Wow, two so quickly. I have to agree with the others. Take your time and find the right girl. Remember, you are suppose to be looking for a life partner. Probably a good idea to just relax and see what happens. If you meet someone, then take is slower. Go back to visit her and really work on getting to know her. You need to know that she is comfortable with coming to America in addition to being with you. I can tell you this. Spending money traveling to meet and get to know the right one is cheaper than marrying the wrong one and going through a completely different process known as divorce.

I would certainly have to agree with the other posters...

You have 2 bad experiences where you quickly applied for K1. A pattern has developed (in your case).

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.. Fool me 3 times, well, something along the lines of, take a hard look in the mirror and think of a new approach.

This is not true. Read the above comments, as well as other threads in this IMBRA section. Please don't respond to threads unless you're sure of your information.
