My wife is from the Philippines and has been a permanent resident since 2006. Her parents are extremely poor and are having trouble providing for their children. We would like to bring her youngest brother (5 years old) to the US but are not sure what would be the best method? Once my wife becomes a citizen we plan to petition her parents, however we would like to get her brother here sooner. any suggestions?

Send money to the Phillipines.

She can sponsor Siblings when she becomes a Citiizen.

Ouch, I was informed the waiting period for a sibling is now about 22 years from the Philippines. I-130.

As I read it, Adoption is a can of worms too. At least 2 years in your physical custody, etc.

Wish I had an answer.

Sad but there is no easy answer. When wife gets her USC she can petition her parents [takes about 1 year].

Parents [LPRs] can petition their other kids .

Can't quite figure out the timeline as it looks like it's faster for LPR to petition kids than a USC! NOT sure!

Adoption is almost impossible. Have to have legal custody for 2 years in the PI. Plus child has to be abandoned or an orphan.

There is no way she can petition for her siblings faster unfortunately. She can get her parents here within a year after she becomes a US citizen, but the other children will have to stay home.
