Hi,

Yeah I'm Curious about that too. Does it matter if its one way or roundtrip ticket that you purchase. Because I was searching for the cheaper ticket and i found some of the roundtrip to be more cheaper than one way?

I think one way is ok to purchase since you are there to marry your fiance and relocate there. So you won't have to go back to Philippines soon. So you can purchase one way.

But i don't know if its ok to purchase roundtrip ticket.

Why is that rountrip ticket are similar or even cheaper than one way? Im confused about that.

Have a safe trip to US!

Mine was a one-way ticket. Got it from a travel agent in QC, since their price was much cheaper than anything I could find online. It was Korean Air too, and I found their service to be TONS better than American Airlines or JAL.

If you purchase a roundtrip ticket because it's cheaper, that's fine too. I actually wished I got roundtrip since I went back for a vacation within 6 months' time.. But again, if you're staying for good, even if you get a roundtrip ticket, it shouldn't be a problem.

Many people have told me a ticket is cheaper in the Philippines. A friend just bought one way tickets to the Philippines here, because he said it is cheaper to buy the return flight there.

We paid for one way tickets for all of us and forgot about my return ticket. We still saved money. We got a discount for first time immigrant too. (not for me alas!)

For us, making the roundtrip match available flights was impossible, believe me we tried. Had to appear in person in Manila, only to find they couldn't do anything for us. They could have told me that on the phone!

We purchased one-way tickets and had no problems at all. As said above, it's okay as long it isn't a tourist visa.

I've also heard that the return is cheaper, plus its good to have a return ticket on hand in case things go south during the first 3 months.

Get a one way ticket unless you plan to go back before the deadline of the expiration of your round way ticket. Remember if you are a K1 filer, you need AP (advance parole) when you file with your AOS to return back home or if you leave the US otherwise Immigration officers will not let you in the US even after arriving in the US. They make sure you have a valid entry since your K1 visa is good for one entry only.
