You can't change. If you marry the K1 is no longer valid.

You will still have the same security checks going through the spousal visa process. :(

good luck

as noted its not a CHANGE one for one....K1=single CR1 = married, marry and your marriage cancels (ends) the K1, then you will have to refile for the CR1 and everything starts all over, so if your K1 has any time invested at all i would leave it, I refiled the CR1 in Feb and still waiting .....

YOU CANT CHANGE THE PAST BUT YOU CAN RUIN THE PRESENT BY WORRYING OVER THE FUTURE

TRIP.... OVER LOVE, AND YOU CAN GET UP

FALL.... IN LOVE, AND YOU FALL FOREVER

I DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT, JUST NOT THE ABILITY

LIKE THE MEASLES, LOVE IS MOST DANGEROUS WHEN IT COMES LATER IN LIFE

LIFE IS NOT THE WAY ITS SUPPOSED TO BE, ITS THE WAY IT IS

I MAY NOT BE WHERE I WANT TO BE BUT IM SURE NOT WHERE I WAS

Help, I need to know how to change from K1 which hasn´t been approved yet to a CR-1?

If you marry during the K1 process, you simply withdraw the I-129F petition and start over again from scratch. Any snags are likely to arise again. There's no "changing" from K1 to CR1.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

No changing darling :( I'm sorry.

As the others have said, if you marry one another during this time you will have to start from scratch.

Be patient, your time will come.

Sending you love

Whatever is best for you guys, just know that it will be an additional 8 to 10 months onto your waiting time.

Plus, you'd have to get married which takes a bit to plan, then there is the gathering of the evidence, filling out more paperwork, etc. so you guys may be facing well over a year of waiting so you can be together.

It's all what is best for you both but remember....whatever they are looking for now, they will still look for with a CR1 so you may be delayed even longer.

I personally wouldn't (since you have already invested 8 months into this already) but then again, I'm not in your shoes.

All the best my friend.
