Oh dear. I'm sure the ship's captain took them out of range, Tara. Oh, and I laughed and laughed when I read your vent of this on the other site. I almost joined just to post my laugh.

Yes, Trailmix and I are pretty much ready. She's over in Seminole and I'm in Lake. At the very least, I'm expecting the power to go out because it goes out at everything.

I hope that everyone stays safe and has all the supplies needed just in case. I am in Seminole County...I live in on the 3rd flr of my apt complex and my apartment faces the woods...hopefully no tornadoes will occur...if it sounds bad, we will seek shelter at a friends.

Sinergy, that is scary about the cruise, but I agree with krikit... will keep ur parents in my thoughts and prayers.

To Blessed to be stressed:) I realize that all things have a purpose and a time.....have faith and the Lord Almighty will provide... when the time is right, he NEVER fails!

We're in Lake county too...and hopefully we're ready. We bought a battery-free flashlight and a radio today. Looks like we won't have to work on Tuesday.

We just got back from the store. We stocked up on water and batteries and pet food. Now I'm making sure all the laundry and dishes are done, just in case the power goes out for days.

Although after making it through Hurricane Wilma's 118 mph winds, I feel like we can get through anything.

Stay safe. I hear they could use the water.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I'm also doing laundry and dishes...and hoping that the electricity won't go out since it's too hard to live w/out AC in Florida!

Still waiting to see what happens with this. I don't want to downplay or be too relaxed but also it doesn't seem to be a big deal right now. What happens the rest of today will make a difference with it. I'm an hour and a half directly north of St Pete, an hour northwest of Tampa. (I'm about 6 miles from the west coast)

The part that would make me worried is losing electricity and now having a baby, but I guess we are prepared with enough formula and bottled water and jars of baby food just in case. Oh yeah and PB&J for me and Sujeet and cans of beans haha. :P I was thinking about baby issues during these kinds of things. At least powdered formula doesn't need to be refrigerated but the problem would be if stores didn't open for a few days and someone ran out of food for their baby. So it's really important to be prepared on that aspect. So many new things to think about after having a baby and preparing for storms!

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)
