WOW! That's awesome! Congratulations!!

My timeline is somewhat similar to yours so I hope they haven't skipped my forms and they also give me an approval soon.

Me and my husband are going crazy and sometimes we are feeling depressed. Why can't VSC be as efficient as CSC? If they are far behind due to other visas, they should share the work with the other centers (It seems they've just started doing that). At least the wait would be fair to everyone, independent of their place of residence...

Well, God bless us!

I see one VSC K3 approval according to VJ timelines. It was an early April filer...what about us VSC?

Hmm. Yeah Addisluv. Someone that filed a few weeks after I did. I wonder if my petition is in the same "box" :)

Yes! Yes! Yes!!!:dance::dance:

I finally got approved!!! It is worth the wait and now I'm looking forward to NVC. NVC - here I come!!!

Good luck to all of you waiting!

FYI. . . I did call VSC last week and requested for my applications to be transfered to CSC. The representative was a very nice lady and told me that by the time they get ready to transfer my applications to CSC, it might be my turn to be approved. I don't know if that phone call made a difference but I'm so happy.

Good luck to all you!!!

There was an I-130 approval on 7/28/08 (I know it's not even this month), but the NOA1 date was 10/120/07 from Vermont.

I know this info probably won't help many including myself. Just thought to share...

Just wondering if the VSC will transfer the applicaton to CSC if we request it??.Ocz all i knew is each state has jurisdictions and you could only file the application for visa to the center where you belong....thanks in advance for your answer. i will appreciate all answers

If there's one thing that I can be sure of in this process, USCIS does not care about any of this. If they approve a K-3 at CSC in a week, and it takes them 6-8 months at VSC, they really don't care, and they have no reason to care. The only thing that seems to worry them is congressional inquiries. And even then, they wont address that unless you are outside of their "processing times," which are a joke. Every month they just add 30 days to the previous months dates. The July processing times said January 17, 2008 for I-129F at both VSC and CSC. We all now that is not true. I'll guarantee when the August update comes out, it will say something like February 17, 2008. Even though we all know that is BS based on timelines on this site, as well as Igor's list. So they'll just keep adding 30 more days every month so that they can say they are within their published processing times.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

Timeline

I see so many people in CSC got approved, even thogh they applied so much later than us. And after almost 7 months waiting, I still get nothing. Not even a touch. I lost my student visa when I come back with my husband to China at the beginning of this year and have to stop my college. I was planning to go back to school after a year, but now I really feel confused about this whole process. I am so worried that I cannot get back and going to miss another semester. My husband and I were separated one month after our marriage. We found out that I cannot go back to US because on Christmas Eve. The only reason they cancelled my student visa is that I married an US citizen. How on earth could this make any sense? Moreover, I thought the longest waiting for NOA2 is going to be 6 months, but now it seems to be endless. I really feel that I'm going insane. This immigration law has no humanity. Where are all these human rights, which politicians talking about all the time? I guess they just do not consider people who are trying to immigrate as human beings and of course neither are their Citizen-Spouses. I just want to cry out in front of the white house that "we are not chimpanzeens!"

Sorry for all the complains.

Hope everyone votes for the political group who support less painful immigration laws!

I was reading that the case workers can work from home. I have an image in my head with my petition getting spilled beer and pizza cheese all over it.

Good one! LOL I wonder what they would do if that happened? Perhaps throw it in the garbage? Wow, I know I am in for a long wait.....

vsc workers are very respectful, considerate, helpful people thats why they would never throw a petition in the garbage. what they do is hang our papers to dry and forget about it for months while they work on the other papers that are already dry which explains why other newer petitions are getting approved before us. and because our petitions have been soaked in beer, it makes it harder for them to read it which explains why it takes them eternity to work on it. all i can say is **** vsc.

according to your timeline, your a CR1, not a K-3. This spreadsheet is for K-3's. There is a separate spreadsheet for CR1's. The link to that can be found in the CR-1 section.
