dried fish

hello VJ members!

i have a question... can i bring dried fish in the US? i am planning to bring some... and also some foods like polvoron, dried squid, chicharon... any idea? i am worried if they will ask me a lot of questions bringing these foods during my entry in the US. tnx!

no fruits or vegitables allowed as for the dried fish i heard some got to bring it and others no. put the dried fish in your checked luggage not carry on. but as for fruits and veggy no you can not bring

You can bring dried fish and squid to US..have it vacuum packed so it won't smell.

You're not supposed to be allowed to bring many meat products - not that many haven't though. Here's the CBP list so you can check it out for yourself.

Fish is not meat in a regulatory sense. Canned meat such as corned beef is not allowed but canned fish, such as squid, centruy tuna, mackerel is allowed. They have always allowed my aunt through ag inspection with dried fish, and we bring in canned fish.

You can bring dried fish and squid to US..have it vacuum packed so it won't smell.

ako nagdala ako ng daing na pusit you have to pout it ina ziplock, then balot mo pa ng isa pang plastic.. then wrap it with a packaginf tape.

My wife brought in a lot of dried fish and squid and had no t problems at POE. They did not open her bags nor they asked her anything about whats in them.

I've also brough dried fish many times on my checked in baggages with no problem.

I think you'll be fine. Just make sure you pack them really tight so your other stuff wont smell in your luggage.
