Patience is a virtue so I'm told but I was never one before to behold it.

We might be having 100 pix of me doing outfit changes if we go buy clothes. :P Knowing Waleed!

Do you have a weight you are hoping to be at by then?

Ummmmmmm. Ok Dec. 19 is technically 4 months away. Well then at 2 healthy lbs. a week then I should lose 32lbs. which puts me at 163.5. But still not in the healthy BMI range. :(

But.... you can always tone up and tighten and make your 32lbs look like more!

Me and my queen always exchanged gifts for birthdays and different holidays.

I remember her first gift to me she gave me an awesome cologne the same one i used to wear it. and i gave her a very good gift basket on the valentine's day .

on Christmas i sent her a very fancy box of Chocolate .she just gave some to her mom and she ate it all LOL.

she sent me a gift on my birthday to and her mom sent me an awesome gift on my birthday and i know that her mom loves flowers so much so i bought and sent her some flowers on her birthday.

necklace and pajama on my queen birthday ......greeting cards........

she sent a gorgeous gift on the mother's day to my mom and my mom sent her a very good gift to my queen on her birthday........

and for sure i bought her an engagement ring .

so all i want to say that we really exchange gifts for birthdays and for different holidays

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

Out of curiosity, is it just as easy in Egypt to custom-make jewelry as it is in Jordan? I know in Jordan it's easy and cheap as well, either the same price as an equivilent in the store or sometimes cheaper, sometimes more depending on what you want and how hard it is... but... generally cheaper because the mark-up for craftmanship is different and they base most of the price on weight of gold or silver.

If it is just as easy and you have the money, I would, *cough* *cough*, suggest to any Egyptian males out there you may consider doing that for your SO. :) We tend to like that even more than something just bought out of the shop. :)

Nah, that's the alcohol talking. Some people are not gift-givers. You may be married to one. I am a sporadic gift-giver.

:D September 28th!

Ok! then you have a bit over a month to get in all your alcohol and then give it up :)

:crying: I think so. I'm married to a non-gift-giver family.

Ah well what the hell. I should be happy right? No on to please ever again?

:D:thumbs: I was telling my BF today that I need to pitch the alcohol coz of my pre-hypertension. She also agreed 30 yrs. old is a good round number to do that with.

Didn't you also mention diabetes running in your family? So also a good reason to not drink!! Honestly, it's not a big deal.

Yeah, some families aren't into gifts much. The biggest clue as to if it's something amiss is if they are all exchanging gifts and you're always left out. Because if your Dh is getting things all the time for holidays for family and nothing ever for you, that could be an issue... or... not... just depends. Like, I've never gotten an Eid gift from him, but since I don't believe in Eid or the preceding two holidays, I think that's kind of reasonable. I know he didn't send a gift to anyone this year since he's been gone as well, although i think he arranged for some money to be given out. He did get me flowers for our anniversary though, my birthday, valentine's day... and he's brought me really important things like chocolate covered donuts at 5am when i really wanted some, etc. He also used to give me things when I visited him and I know this past anniversary he got me the stairstepper instead of jewelry because I asked for it knowing he was planning on a blue topaz set of earrings. I would love the earrings, but I told him as long as I felt fat i wouldn't want to wear anything anywhere anyway. So you may look at it and see after you move there if you think you're being snubbed. When you're sober :)

In my experience, MENA people give gifts mostly to the children on holidays. But women are given gold or dresses on occasions like births, anniversaries etc if she demands them! Buuuut gifts are excepted when visiting people, whether food items or bigger items!
