Hi,

I go to the USCI chart at: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtim...eviceCenter=CSC to estimate when things will start to happen but I am not really sure if I understand it correctly (and I sure hope I do not.)

They say the Processing Timeframe for K1 visas is Jan 17, 2008. I guess that means they are just now getting to the I-129f's that were sent in eight months ago (!!!). I sent in my orginal I-129f on April 7 2008, which is a little more than 3 1/2 months after Jan 17th. So there are still 3 1/2 months before anyone opens my file -- right? And then there are, what, 2 or 3 months till interview and posibility of the K1 visa being issued?

Hi Randy,

The USCIS processing times should be updated tomorrow or Monday to reflect their expectations as of Aug. 15th

That said, they are only expectations. Just as many people have been waiting more than a year for their petitions to be approved,

there are some people (such as myself) who have been approved in just over a month. There is no rhyme or reason.

I do not feel like I am special, or like I did anything special. We didn't ask for an expedition, didn't use an attorney, and didn't have our congressman

get involved. As a matter of fact, I feel somewhat ashamed that we've had such a fast approval. I feel really horrible for all the people

that had filed before us.

In short, anything can happen. All you can do is keep putting positive energy into the universe...keep in touch with your fiance...keep on top of your case.

According to your timeline, it looks like you haven't even received an NOA1 for your petition. If that's not the case, please update your timeline.

If that is the case, you should try to get a copy of the back of the cancelled check. The check will have your USCIS case number on it,

so you can start tracking it online...and even get email updates from USCIS.

Hope your petition gets approved soon. I truly hope in my heart that EVERYONE on VJ is able to be united before the new year.

Peace, hope, and blessings for us all.

OH that's the "cover your a$$" answer. They are supposed to have nothing older than those dates. You want to look at the top of this page in the blue menu bar---the thin lighter blue one. In the middle is Immigration Timelines. In the second column it says Statistics. Click Historical Trends. Lots of graphs. Moving down that page there is a super tiny link to show some of the more popular consulates. It's in teeny tiny black type and the word here is underlined. All those graphs show a year's worth of trends how times go up or down and what's happening currently. But like the stock market, the line could trend up or down by the time it gets to your turn.

PS. Update your profile and timeline. Do you have a NOA1 date? What are you filing for?

Those processing times don't mean anything. Whenever they update them, they just seem to add 30 days on to last months date. If want to see some valid data look here:

http://cse.ssl.berkeley.edu/igor/vjdata/default.aspx

Just by looking at the data, you should be seeing an approval pretty soon, unless there is an issue with your petition.

Thank all.

I don't want to sound too helpless but how the heck do I update my timeline? I looked all over "My Controls" and did not find anything there.

Go to "Immigration Timelines" (at the top of this page)

On the left is a link "Timeline Functions"

then under that is "Edit / Add my Entry"

You'll be prompted for the email address you used to signup for VisaJourney.com, and will then be able to update your timeline.

Thanks.

I just now updated it. Any idea why my timeline and "filed for:" information does not display on my posts like your's does?

Two things you can do.

Click MY CONTROLS up above. In the left column there is Edit Profile. Scroll down some and find Immigration Status and put in K1 from the dropdown. Then Place Benefits filed--California

Then back to the left Click Edit Signature. Your signature is the list that appears after posts. You have to hand type that and put anything you like. You can put your basic timeline or how you met or when you visited. It can be as long or as short as you want to make it. It's like typing a post. You can change fonts or colors too. I changed the last line at the bottom of mine and made a different font and red color. (4 months, 3 weeks...etc.)

Looks like you will be getting approval very soon.

Based on your time line, a NOA2 should be upon you within this month or next. Heck could be next week. Hang in there. GOOD LUCK to you.

Good luck. I hope you receive your NOA2 very soon. On your timeline, however, you have your date for sending your I-129F and the date for receiving your NOA1 as being just one day apart. Is this correct? I thought I would ask, just in case this is an error. But, I wish you much happiness and hopefully an NOA2 before this month ends.

Yes I noticed that too about his NOA1 being a day after he sent in his I-129f.
