Elixabethnhenry, T&T lost 2-0 to Paraguay, and are now out of the world cup. Germany won 3-0 against Ecuador, and so they got through as the top team in their group. :)

Germany won their group with three victories in the preliminary round (first time since 1970). Germany will be playing Sweden on Saturday and if they win meet the winner of Argentina vs. Mexico. None of this should be a problem especially if Argentina plays as they did yesterday against the Netherlands (neither Mexico nor Sweden have performed any wonders either). Most boring game so far...

Btw, I'm sorry the US-team is out. But congrats to Italy and Ghana (and to England and Sweden) for making it to the next round. :thumbs:

I was sad the US lost but glad Ghana went through -- since we would have face Brazil in the next match, it was only a matter of time.

I will next be rooting for the Aussies to go through!

I wished it could be US :(
