Dont Forget that Brazil is defending champs.. so they are highly favorites to winning..

That statistic does not hold at all. Defending champs are usually not successful. Otherwise, Uruguay would still be winning every time . But without going so far into the past, consider the last 20 years:

1986 - Argentina (Italy lost to France in 1/8-final)

1990 - Germany (Argentina lost in the final)

1994 - Brazil (Germany lost to Bulgaria in the 1/4-final)

1998 - France (Brazil lost to France in the final)

2002 - Brazil (France went home after the preliminary round)

So, while there might be reasons speaking for Brazil winning, it is not because they are the defending champs. So far, they have not played the best game and there were other teams that performed much better (and I think that this opinion is shared by several people here).

If you want to throw around bogus statistics, at least check your facts. Here's one example, since Germany lost to England in 1966, England has not won a major tournament (this is called the curse of Wembley, and I apologize to all England fans for bringing it up). On the other hand, Germany is similarly cursed since that "fateful day": They have been in the final in 1966, 1974, 1982, 1986, 1990, and 2002 and only won twice. Oh, and a final bogus statistic, Germany has always won the World Cup in Germany.
