im still learning the rules, but i am REALLY confused by that last red card... it didnt seem to be something so bad to get one... i would think a yellow card, but a red? what am i missing?

1-1 at the half... could be worse.

I fear that with only 10 men on the pitch, Italy will now turn the game in their favor. They held pretty well with only 10 against the USA's 11. Now with 10 on 10, they should have the advantage. We'll see.

That red card on the US was soooooooooooo BOGUS!!! Before the commentators even said it, I mean come ONNNNNNNN Yellow card there for sure! not RED! What a WAN...never mind. I'm all for fair play, but that was YELLOW, all the way...sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh. M.

Is a good match tho..much better than I expected against Italy :blush: have faith I guess!!! There's still hope, but I'm afraid now evened up at 10/10 and with a halftime wake up call, Italy's gonna come back with a vengence...

GO USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suspect the referee may have classified the tackle as a tackle from behind, which is an automatic red. It wasn't however, so the player should have gotten a yellow. But you could also have argued that the first yellow card De Rossi got was undeserved.

So swings and roundabouts really. But it should be an exciting second half. And yeah Michelle, the ref is the W word. :P

i dont think i can watch anymore... i dont care which team it is for/against... when refs pull that ######, i wont watch

i would think that either team would want a FAIR win
