I just got excited while watching the opening ceremonies before the England-T&T game.

Then it hit me.... I just got EXCITED over a soccer match. Wait a minute, that's not supposed to happen to Americans. We're not supposed to get that feeling in our stomachs, like the one we get on opening day of baseball, or right before the Super Bowl is about to start... no, this is soccer.

I was at the gym today where I changed the station TO the World Cup, so I could watch the end of Ecuador-Costa Rica, and some guy came in like "If I cared about soccer, I might actually watch it." He was talking about how boring it is.... boring? You mean to tell me you'll sit through 9 innings of guys playing catch, but to watch a match on the pitch is too boring? Come on!!!

I started to explain how soccer was the most popular game in the world for a reason... then remembered where I was and decided to save my breath.
