In our household, it is a crime to call it Soccer. The terms are Football and American Football.

In conversations with USC's I prefer to call it "the real football, ya know the game where they actually play the ball with the feet all the time"

Entry in the USA: May 13 2005

10 yr GC approved: October 5 2007

Hmm!!

I expected a better fight from Zico's japan team, I can say i am impressed by the Aussie team. So many surprises who will go to Round 16 is a tough guess right now with so many teams playing well in their opening match.

Gone but not Forgotten!

Oops. 1-0 to the Czech Rep.

:o:o:help: Yikes!!! I am rooting for underdog Trinidad, but I was hoping US would at least get a tie. I think it will end in a tie.

Well, only 30 minutes have passed so it ain't over yet -- I want the US to do well again simply because it would piss so many people off.

People have been complaining about the announcing -- totally agree, but nearly as bad as the GRAPHICS. How many times has play been obscured by some fancy map or photo? Who cares what the capital of the country is! Also that bar across the top of the screen that isn't quite at the top is driving me spare -- especially when it says "FIFA World CUP" -- I KNOW IT'S THE FIFA WORLD CUP! I've been watching for the past 3 days. I think I'm going to email them.
