i like anyone really except..brazil...they win too oftern...

I used to like Brazil - till my brother married a Brazilian :lol::lol::lol:

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I-751 posted on 6th August 2009

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT

I'm rooting for Germany *duckdownrealfast*. Hope they'll make it back into finals (and then wont lose against Brazil again, grrr) :(:P . Anyway, my hubby and I will be leaving for Germany on June 13th and stay there for three weeks so we will see the entire Championship. I am so excited about it and can't wait...

If anyone is interested this guy on ebay sell kids soccer uniforms for a lot countries and the prices are reasonable and the quality is good. I have purchased 3 times without a problem.

My daughter wears a kids 10/12 and the Large fits her pretty well if you are wondering about the size.

Of course I'm rooting for England but I fear they will do what they do in every large competition... promise so much, get everyones hopes up and then crash out in the Quarter Finals.

I think the first game is on a Saturday morning and the rest will be Tivo'd for viewing that night.

I watched a re-run of last weekends FA cup final on Fox Soccer Channel this morning... what a game that was !!

I'll be rooting for Germany, the US, the Netherlands, England, and some other teams (I usually have one favorite per group). While I am a soccer nationalist whenever Germany plays, I can be as nationalist when cheering for another team. I'll be watching as many games as possible. My hope: defeat Brazil!

Btw, I have nothing against Brazil, I just can't stand their soccer team.

Btw, I'm jealous. I'll be leaving Germany on June 7 or 8 so I'll have to watch the world cup at our student union. It's fun because where else do you have people of multiple nationalities yell and cry together whatever happens... ;)
