Dunno...I think it's like any derogatory term used to identify a group of people...when it's used by people it's usually directed at, it's not the same... Ethnic groups use terms all the time that they would find unacceptable coming from anyone else.

What Maria wrote-and I refuse to translate it-is VERY derogatory and totally uncalled for. Wog is bad as well, at least by the explanation an Australian friend of mine gave me awhile ago. Then again what's worst doesn't really matter...###### like this should not be said, considering it is a world cup and it is sport that should UNITE people, not make them fight!
