NOA1 QUestion

Hi guys

I have the followsing question:

Can we use the receipt number on the NOA1 to check the status of our application online?

And if so, how soon from the time we receive the notice can we do it?

I have been trying, but the system tells me that the receipt number is invalid.

Yes you can use your NOA1 receipt number to check your case status at the uscis online. Give yourself 2wks to wait for them to enter it into the system.

That is what I used. sometimes it takes a few days to get the number into the system.

Hey Namma, there seems to be something going on with the chicago petitions, the case status online is showing "no such case" for me and I found another person on another immigration board who had the same thing. I got my NOA 1/31 and check everyday online and by phone and they say no such case. Also, the back of my check has a different receipt number stamped on it.
