Wow! Grabbed the wrong quote! Too late now.

Pushbrk is correct. Not that he needs my confirmation!

Once the Removal of Conditional Status is complete (Approved) after two years, there is nothing (Immigration law wise) you can do. The Immigration Officer warned me about this believe, it or not.

If You did not complete "Removing Conditional Status" (I-751) you are OK. You didn't update your Conditional Status timeline in VJ, maybe?

I'm not supporting this, but it is the law. I thought the Conditional Status stuff sucked, but maybe there is a reason for it...

Good Luck.

No, she is not in that stage yet. She did a K-3, and the AOS interview was to flip from the 129F to the I-130. So there has not been a greencard involved yet. That's what the AOS interview was for. They have not been married for 2 years yet, so if AOS is approved, he will receive a conditional, 2-year GC.

I'm sorry you are going through this. It sounds like pulling the Affadavit of support is the way to go if you still have the chance.

Thank GOD FOR SPECTOR PRO.

Now. You print out everything and you tell him he has 2 days to get out. Tell him to call the girl that can handle him. ( whos probably married with 3 kids)

you have to close your heart and screw him to the wall. Call the police as well and tell them that he is emotionally abusing you and show them the print outs....Start keeping a log and scare the #### out of him... TRUST ME, He sees cops show up, he will hustle. You can publish your divorce and dump him. You dont even need him to sign

He can handle you? He has never seen a really pissed off American

think fallujah mother *(&*((()(

I totally agree. By the way, I believe it's a 5-year financial obligation, not a 10 year... unless the rules have changed since I signed my afadavit of support.

It's neither 5 or 10 years, actually. The fastest an alien can satisfy the Affidavit of Support othe than to naturalise or leave the country is to work full time and contribute sufficient deposits to the SSA. As long as the alien is married to a USC then if the USC works during that time also, the alien can count the work of his her US citizen spouse as well, and in that situation, the 40 quarters of work could be met in 5 years time. However, once divorced the alien must satsify the 40 quarters himself. Therefore it could conceivably take 10 years or much more!

I do remember reading that it takes 40 quarters of work before the USC is no longer financially responsible.

My heart is crying for you right now, I am so sorry. After reading everything here I do believe that MOST of what he has done will not indicate GC fraud, but there is one thing you mentioned that rings bells to me. That is the Arab marriage sites that he signed up for. This is where I would put most of my concentration. And I agree, make an info pass immediately. And the fraud department that was mentioned earlier, I would call them too.

Although...... the number of people who have been held responsible is how many? Zero? Yeah.

Also, he is a HE. What kind of "welfare" can he get? I don't know about where you live, but you can only get welfare here if you're a) Female 2) Female with kids C) Male Widower with kids, no job, and no legs.

That's a slight exaggeration, but there are essentially no ways for a male in Indiana to get any kind of "assistance" unless they are disabled on the job. Ergo, what would you even have to pay back, if the government actually made people pay it back?

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I was married to someone from India and found he had used me for a green card. When i kicked him out, we had just applied for AOS. I informed USCIS about the situation, didn't show proof...just told them my suspicions...and the official said "Don't worry about this situation ma'm, who's the citizen, you or him"? So i felt assured that something would happen, ie he wouldn't get citizenship. Nope, he ended filing for asylum because he's Muslim and lived in a predominantly Hindu country and felt "persecuted". At least this is what he told my son, who saw him working at a convenience store. Told my son to tell me he didn't need me to stay in the country anyway!! LONG story short, I've never been contacted by USCIS or any other agency to ask for any money back for his staying here. Just thought I would put my 2 cents in with my personal experience.

Maybe not, but I do have proof that he has joined several groups online looking for women to marry. Arab dating sites, etc. If he was entering into this marriage faithfully, why would he need to do this? Also, I have proof that he was chatting with other women and receiving naked pics from them after our marriage.

Also, he had the interview for the AOS, but so far no green card has been issued.

If he can get the green card without me, so be it, I don't care. But as far as I am concerned, he has repeatedly denied being married, therefore, he married me for the green card only.

Before the AOS interview, all I had knowledge of was him watching porn online and occasionally looking at womens yahoo profiles. It was AFTER the AOS interview that I found the cyber sex and naked chats. In the naked chat, he even told the woman, who knew he was married( I e mailed her to inform her), not to worry about me, he could handle me. What that meant, I am not sure.

Seriously this is EXACTLY what keeps me paranoid no matter how nice my husband seems. It is impossible to know when your husband is overseas wether or not he does this. So you can only find out after he is here already. Tammy what made you suspect anything to begin with? Just intuition? I wish my husband knew all of the things these guys do to theyre wives and fiances on VJ! Than maybe he would understand why I am so freaked out about wanting him to reassure me all the time. I am going to become a nun. Are there any Lesbian immigration sites???????? I am switching over I swear!

 You are killing it today!

In all seriousness, if you have doubt....then take appropriate steps to protect yourself. The reality is...nothing is guarenteed....life, love, etc. Communication is the most important so let your hubby know how you feel about all this (repeatedly if you have to :P) and I'm sure everything will be fine!! I'v got one. tell the FBI he works for bin laden??? and is involved with the Zarkawi... that might move thngs along.

sorry really ticked off at him myself

This is really inappropriate advice. He might have used her, but in no way does that warrent telling falsehoods regarding terrorist ties to the FBI.

I really hope this was said in "jest" however awful that still is.
