My question is in regard to the affidavit of support:

11. That I intend/do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3.

Now, my co-sponsor can contribute if necessary, but I'm wondering if it will be better for the interview to have it checked or to have it checked as do not intend.

Would one method over the other show a less likely chance to become a public charge, such as providing room and board, etc?

Want to make sure we get this visa.

The Example Form has your answer. ;)

N/A ( K1 visa process for permanent residence )

Yep, we put exactly what Kim and Russ said. It's not applicable to the K1 Visa.

Alright, why isnt it applicable? Better to just not check either box and write exactly this "N/A ( K1 visa process for permanent residence )" ?

it's up to you what way you want to do it. You can either check it and write yes, or you can do what kim and russ and I said and write N/A (k1 visa process for permanent residence).

Sponsor can check nothing like the example. If the co-sponsor wants to say NO, it's okay. By filling out the form, they are agreeing to keep the petitioner off welfare. They don't have to provide an allowance to them. Now if they were going to provide something specific they could check YES and say....give her $1000 a month, buy her a car, pay for her apartment for 6 months...whatever

Either way it's not required to check any box as it doesn't pertain specifically to the K1 visa. N/A is sufficient. Why anyone would want to make it more difficult on themselves in filling out this form is beyond me.
