I-485 form questions

Hi everybody, i am adjusting from the VWP and am in the process of filling out my I-485 application form. First of all, for the part 2 application type, i am confused on which one i am supposed to select, as i am adjusting from the VWP based on marriage?

Secondly, it says my consulute where my visa was issued, but i am here on the VWP, and have my I-94 card which i can enter the number for, do i leave the consulte question blank or put n/a?

Lastly, it says to list my wife. I can put all of her information in, she is a US citizen. However,what happens when asked for her "A #" ... what does this mean and what do i put in there? And it says is she applying with me, she is sending off the I-130 and G-25a obviously, but she is a US citizen by birth, do i say she is applying with me or not?

Any help anyone can give is greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.

Hi again! If your wife is a U.S citizen, then she has to send proof, such as her birth certificate. She does not have a A# so you just leave it blank. For part 2, you are filing (a) where an immigrant visa will be made immediately available to you via your marriage to USC, (your wife's petition that you file with the I-485). Leave the consulate part blank or write "None" since you are a VWP, but make sure you say you came as a visitor in section before that. It wasn't clear to me if you realize to mail your wife's paperwork AND yours all together as one file, but you do... Hope this helps!

Thank you so much, it says family name of my wife, do i use her maiden family name or her new married family name.. mine?

You always use her married name if that is what she now goes by. You're family now!!!

Also where it says Address C/O: Who is my address coutesy of, my wife, her mother? We are living with my mother-in-law, my wife pays bill money to her. do i say courtesy of "my wifes name" or courtesty of "my mother in laws name" OR do i say courtesy of "and enter my wife's maiden family name" e.g -- The Smith's

Personally I would just write your mailing address without addition. If you feel more comfortable maybe you could write "Smith." Make sure your names are on the mailbox though.

Do i have to write anything next to C/O?

Well, I wouldn't bother since it's her mother. I would personally just write the address and call it a day.

I would avoid leaving things blank—for my spouse's (USC) A# I put N/A. C/O stands for "care of", and if you are living at your mother in law's house, I would include her last name on the C/O line just in case. Just me:) I'm #######. These tiny tiny details are probably not THAT important, as long as you don't make an actual error.
