Can anyone share some insight on obtaining a copy of my husbands divorce decree from his first wife? He's working in the middle east, is a citizen of indonesia and we got married in the states. the certified copy we HAD was never returned from the county clerks office where we registered our marriage lic. and now they can't fine it...... I called the consulate, they tell me only he can request it, and he must do so in person....in indonesia. We tried to have his sister go to the courts and request it. they refused her. .I called his ex-wife and asked if she had a copy, she did not, she also went to the civil courts and they refused her too. but she's already remarried so i guess thats why they refused her. Any suggestions? this is holding up our I-130 big time

thanks

jackie
